Independent retail distribution · United States

One distributor account. 1,000+ independent US retailers.

Independent retail is one of the most fragmented channels in the country: thousands of small operators, many below a brand’s minimum order, each needing its own account review. We consolidate access into one authorized distributor account and manage retailer qualification, order coordination and the channel requirements agreed with your brand.

One account instead of a thousand. Participating retailers are vetted before they can order your line, and your written channel policies are administered under the distribution agreement.

No fees for brands

No onboarding, listing or placement fees, and no minimum volume commitments.

Non-exclusive

We ask for a distribution partnership, not exclusivity. Your other channels stay as they are.

Brands from any country

We work with consumer brands based in the United States and abroad.

Placement starts at signing

Once the agreement is signed, we begin presenting your line to the network.

How it works

How a brand gets into the channel

Asset-light by design. Product moves when a vetted retailer orders it, not because a warehouse needs to clear space.

    We place your line

We present your products to the retailers in our network that fit the brand by category, store format and region. Each retailer is vetted before it becomes eligible to order your line.

    Product ships direct

Orders ship from you or an approved fulfillment partner straight to the retail location under our account, without an extra warehouse in between.

Channel Policy

Channel control, in writing

Moving product is only part of the job. A brand also needs confidence that its line reaches suitable retail accounts under the channel terms it approved. These are the standards our network operates under.

01

Verified before activation

Registered business, applicable resale documentation, commercial address and a real retail operation.

02

Your MAP, administered

Your written MAP requirements are applied to advertised pricing across participating accounts, as agreed and consistent with applicable law.

03

No marketplaces

Third-party marketplace resale is prohibited under our retailer agreement. There is no waiver process.

04

No diversion

No transshipping to other wholesalers and no export without your written consent.

FAQ

Questions brands ask us

Short answers to what brand teams usually ask first. Anything else, email partners@distleader.com.

What does it cost a brand to work with DistLeader?

Nothing. There are no onboarding, listing or placement fees, and no minimum volume commitments.

Is the agreement exclusive?

No. We ask for a distribution partnership for the independent retail channel, not exclusivity. Your other channels stay as they are.

Do retailers in your network sell on Amazon or other marketplaces?

No. Third-party marketplace resale is prohibited under our retailer agreement, with no waiver process. Marketplace-only sellers are not eligible for the network.

Who are the retailers?

Independent specialty stores, gift and home shops, boutiques, variety stores and own-domain e-commerce retailers in all 50 states. A breakdown relevant to your category is shared under NDA.

Do you administer our MAP policy?

Yes. Where you provide a written MAP policy, we communicate and administer it for participating accounts within the scope of the agreement and applicable law.

How do you order and pay?

Purchase orders are issued under our distributor account. We can start on prepaid terms by ACH or wire where your credit policy requires it. Net terms can be considered after trading history.

How does product reach the stores?

By default, you or your fulfillment partner ship directly to the retail location under our account. Order consolidation and stocking programs are available where volume and geography justify them.

Can brands from outside the United States work with you?

Yes. We work with consumer brands based in the United States and abroad.

How soon can placement start?

Placement begins as soon as the distribution agreement is signed.
